Aprofito que, aquesta setmana vinent, es votarà l’aprovació definitiva de prohibir les corregudes de toros a Catalunya, per dir-hi la meva.
Veig les corregudes com un anacronisme en l’evolució humana, que es manté, per culpa del simbolisme que va prendre.
La tortura i la mort de l’animal és un fet, però més reprovable encara, és l’espectacle que es dóna. Diuen que és pitjor el què passa en una granja de pollastres, no ho poso en dubte, però el més terrorífic i punible de les corregudes és, que a diferència de les granges, es paga una entrada i l’acció esdevé espectacle.
Com més es fa ballar torturant al pobre animal, més satisfacció hi ha entre el públic. Veure totes aquelles cares de plaer m’estremeix, em desespera i em produeix molta tristesa. Com es pot gaudir de l’acarnissament?
Al donar-se per vàlid l’espectacle es fa un dany irreparable en els nens i adults que ho viuen. S’està validant l’acceptació del patiment d’altri si és pel gaudi propi. Només fa que revifar petites flames monstruoses en l’ésser humà. Si es pot jugar amb la tortura i amb la vida, això, sense voler-ho, s’extrapolarà en altres circumstàncies. Sense problemes, ja ens han colat una premissa negativa.
Entenc que, els hereus d’aquest defensors de la sagnia, veuran als seus avantpassats com a gent primitiva, encallada en el temps, de la mateixa manera que nosaltres veiem a la gent que anava al circ romà a gaudir de l’anorreament de tot bitxo vivent.
